Typology of monomers
Our monomers portfolio is made up of different varieties of products. First of all, we have a whole range of acrylates perfectly suited for water-based paints, such as acrylic acid, butyl acrylate, ethyl acrylate, methyl acrylate, 2-ethylhexyl acrylate and 2-hydroxyethyl acrylate.
We also offer different Methacrylates ranging from the more generic ones, such as Methyl Methacrylate, Butyl Methacrylate or Glycidyl Methacrylate, to special and very specific Methacrylates. In addition, our portfolio also offers Styrene, Vinyl Acetate Monomer, Liquid Acrylamide, Ethylbenzene and Acrylonitrile. In the latter case, for eco-friendly solutions, we also offer Econitrile, an acrylonitrile variant made from raw materials from natural, renewable sources.
Sectors of application of monomers
Apart from the usual use of monomers for the manufacture of plastics and technical plastics, monomers are perfectly suited for the manufacture of unsaturated polyester resins and resins for paints and coatings because of their chemical resistance and weather resistance. This is why they are used in such important sectors such as navigation, roads and the coating of tanks and pipelines.
There is also a whole market for monomers for clients formulating additives for the textile industry and, in the case of vinyl acetate monomer, for the manufacture of adhesives.
