Adhesives & Sealants

Adhesives are substances that allow two or more bodies to be held together by surface contact. Their main function is to increase adhesion and to maximise their resistance to separation. For this reason, Quimidroga's raw materials and additives for adhesives division has a wide range of resins, pigments and specialties for the production of water-based, solvent-based and hot-melt adhesives.

Raw materials for adhesives

Within the range of products and raw materials for the manufacture of adhesives, we have several families of tackifying resins. These include petroleum-derived resins, also known as hydrocarbon resins, and resins derived from natural rosin or tall-oil. These products are essential for the manufacture of all types of adhesives.

We also distribute a wide variety of copolymers EVA, SIS, SBS, acrylics, polychloroprenes, etc. and other products such as polybutene plasticisers, additives and solvents. And we keep a constant development in R+D+i to adapt to changing market needs.

Applications of our raw materials for adhesives

Our raw materials such as EVA polymers, polyethylene waxes and tackifying agents are essential components for the formulation of hot-melt adhesives. These adhesives are used in the packaging, labels, tapes or nappies market because of their conformability and durability.

For the production of water-based adhesives commonly used in the packaging or lamination market, we have a variety of polymers, emulsion acrylics and tackifying dispersions. Our full range of polychloroprene polymers is also optimal in the formulation of solvent-based solutions for the manufacture of contact adhesives.

All in all, a wide variety of raw materials and additives that will provide the final adhesive with different technical characteristics, from the resistance and insulation required by the automotive sector to the elastic and deformable properties of the footwear market.
