Ethylene glycols

At Quimidroga we are specialised in the distribution of ethylene glycols used for a wide variety of applications: manufacture of polyester, as an intermediate in the manufacture of polyurethanes, antifreeze for the automotive industry, manufacture of industrial refrigerants and lubricants, as a solvent in the manufacture of paints, coatings, detergents, pharmaceuticals, adhesives and cosmetics. In addition, we have a logistics service capable of adapting to the needs of our clients thanks to our logistics capabilities and our wide availability of products that we supply in all kinds of quantities and packaging, whether IBCs, whole and half tanks, drums and cans. We also make dilutions in water adapted to the percentage required by the client.

Typology of ethylene glycols

Our portfolio of ethylene glycols includes:

Monoethylene glycol: product used to reduce the freezing point in industrial antifreeze and coolants. We offer our clients the possibility to dilute the product in water with a wide range of %

Diethylene glycol: product used in the industries of polyester, polyurethane, lubricants, paints, pharmaceuticals, detergents, adhesives and cosmetics.

Triethylene glycol: mainly used for gas dehydration, it also has other uses in the industries of paints, coatings, resins, lubricants and detergents.

Sectors of application of the ethylene glycols

The most common industries in which ethylene glycols are used are the manufacture of polyester and as intermediates in the manufacture of polyurethane systems. Depending on the final application, different products with solvent and preservative functions are used in different sectors and applications. These range from very specific products such as antifreeze and coolants for industrial circuits to brake fluids in the automotive industry.

And they are applied in sectors as diverse as detergency, due to their solvent functions, inks, chemical synthesis, paint, adhesives, cosmetics and lubricants, among many others.
